حاجی قطر گل آفریدی

Haji Qatar Gul Afridi was born in 1972 in Zakhakhel, Landi Kotal, District Khyber. He began his education at Paindy Zakhakhel Primary School and continued his middle and higher education in Peshawar. From his early years, he has been dedicated to learning, leadership, and serving his community.
In 2017, he started his social work journey with the Pak Ehsas Welfare Organization, focusing on supporting families and community development. His passion for public awareness and communication inspired him to enter the media field. In 2020, he became Editor-in-Chief of the daily newspaper Awaz-e-Khyber, published from Peshawar, where he played a vital role in highlighting regional issues and giving a voice to the concerns of his people.
In 2021, his commitment to community well-being led him to establish the Ehsas Medical Center in Bazar Zakhakhel, providing healthcare services to underserved populations. After spending some time in Kuwait, he returned to Pakistan and now serves as the Managing Director of both the Pak Ehsas Welfare Organization and the Ehsas Medical Center, leading initiatives that strengthen both welfare and healthcare in District Khyber.
Currently, he is the Editor-in-Chief of Khybernama.com, a digital news platform dedicated to authentic, timely, and people-centered journalism. Through this platform, he continues to highlight the social, cultural, political, and developmental issues of Khyber and its surrounding regions. His journalistic services have not only amplified the voices of marginalised communities but also promoted awareness, accountability, and positive change. By bridging the gap between the public and policymakers, he has become a trusted voice for his people, ensuring that their struggles, achievements, and aspirations are recognized on wider platforms.
